Great portable vaporizer Posted by seo-sem on Jun 23rd, 2008 I'm surprised by the negative reviews here. Maybe the earlier models are harder to use but the one I have just tried is an absolutely functional vaporizer at a great price, that's got many advantages over other more expensive vapes, which is not to discount the disadvantages that are a given considering the vast difference in price. There is a bit of a learning curve but it is not exceedingly difficult to figure out. I fail to see how, so long as people are following the instructions provided by the manufacturer closely, it is easy to burn the material. I'd think it would take complete disregard for the instructions or flat out clumsiness to burn the material. The heat filter protects the material from the flame and keeps the temperature down. The only way to offset enough to burn it is getting the flame to touch the filter. It is very clearly stated that this should not be happening and the design of the genie does not make touching the flame to the filter easy or intuitive. The filter is located in a depression on the cap piece... keep the flame just above the depression it'd be almost impossible to burn the material (it's this built in marker that makes this piece easier to use than other lighter based cheaper pieces like the ubie). The portability, speed and ease of use make this a wonderful vaporizer, that can reasonably be used in a far greater variety of places than conventional electric vapes...and when you compare it to smoking, the mind boggles... This is simply put, a great value. At this price it'd even make a worthy complementary piece for someone who has an electric vape at home. |
