Aromazap Vaporizer

Works okay, not durable... Posted by seo-sem on Jun 23rd, 2008 I first purchased the Aromazap maybe two and a half or three years ago. It was my first vaporizer, and initially I was very happy with it. Again, not coming from the perspective of one with the higher end models. I was happy because it was an honest to goodness functional vaporizer. It got me high. Other than that, there's ultimately not much going for it. It takes a good 30 minutes to heat up, so if you want to be able to use it at any point you have to keep it plugged in. The heat up length ultimately kills the portability of it. The stem is short... the vapor is hot and the filter does not catch small particles if you grind up the herb too fine. And they eventually get clogged with material and the longer they are in use, the harder it becomes to keep them clean and usable. That ultimately means ordering more stems from the manufacturer. Finally, the product is not durable. My aromazap broke, but I was able to repair it myself (no help from the manufacturer). Due to the immediate satisfaction of having a functioning vaporizer my brother in law also got one. His broke as well and he rather foolishly kept getting new ones at discounted rates from the manufacturer. I gave him mine eventually and that too broke. So between the two of us, out of four aromazaps, only one is functioning currently. At the price they are going for now, there is no chance getting an Aromazap is a good value for the money. Look around, you'll find a much better value... |

| Comments: | When the zap initially broke the manufacturer was very helpful, sending new AC adapters to see if that was the issue. When it turned out not to be, communication was cut off by the manufacturer, and I was forced to repair it myself, which I managed to do. The combo of shoddy workmanship and flaky customer service gets the manufacturer the lowest possible rating. |
